Ex-Agent Wins $1 Million Judgement Against Insurance Company.
Appeals Court Unanimously Upholds $1 Million Verdict
On December 9, 2008, Rose Ann Feldman's $1 million dollar verdict against American Family Insurance Co. was unanimously upheld by the Missouri Court of Appeals in J. Bradley Teets v. American Family Mutual Insurance, 272 SW3d, 2008 WL 5423987, Mo.App. E.D. Feldman had previously sued American Family on behalf of her client, J. Bradley Teets, for breach of her client's insurance agency contract. Mr. Teets had owned and operated an American Family Insurance agency in southern Missouri for over 23 years at the time that American Family improperly terminated the agency contract. After a six-day jury trial in June 2007, the jury returned a unanimous verdict in 40 minutes in favor of Rose Ann Feldman's client and assessed total breach of contract damages against American Family of $1 Million
